Half Hardy Annual
Flowers July to September, rose or white.
The plant has fine-cut foliage; the flowers are
single, not unlike small single Dahlias. It must
be raised on heat in February or March, and receive
the same treatment as seeding Dahlias. There is
a strain of seed called “early flowering”;
this should be sown in preference to the later
kinds, which may possibly postpone their flowering
until late autumn.
